- Description
Cooling and ventilation fans are aircraft airflow units used to cool onboard equipment, maintain forced air circulation and protect electrical or electronic systems from overheating. In helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, these fans may be installed in avionics bays, instrument compartments, equipment racks, control panels, power supply sections and enclosed technical zones where stable airflow is needed during continuous operation.
This category includes aircraft cooling fans, ventilation fans, axial fans, centrifugal fans, air blowers, equipment cooling units and related airflow components. Depending on the aircraft system, a fan may be used to cool avionics modules, electronic control units, generators, voltage converters, radio communication equipment, navigation blocks, power distribution units or cockpit and equipment-bay panels.
Cooling and ventilation fans may be used on Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171, Mi-24, Mi-26, Ka-32 helicopters, as well as An-series aircraft, IL-series aircraft, L-410 and other Soviet or Russian-designed aviation platforms. In older aircraft, correct fan selection often depends on part number, supply voltage, airflow direction, mounting size, connector type, operating mode and compatibility with the installed equipment or ventilation duct.
In service, these units operate under vibration, temperature changes, moisture exposure, electrical load variation and long-duty cycles typical for aviation environments. Stable airflow is especially important in compartments with dense avionics installation, heat-producing power converters or radio-electronic equipment operating for long periods.
Cooling and ventilation fans are commonly required during scheduled maintenance, avionics cooling repair, replacement of failed airflow units, cockpit or equipment-bay refurbishment, electrical system modernization and restoration of airworthiness. Depending on the specific item and customer requirement, fans may be supplied in factory new, serviceable, storage-preserved or overhauled condition.
Aviamisto supplies aircraft cooling fans, ventilation fans, air blowers and related aviation electrical components for MRO organizations, repair facilities, fleet operators and aviation parts suppliers. Some standard positions may be available from UAE or EU stock locations, while less common airflow units are sourced upon request according to aircraft type, part number, voltage, installation point and technical documentation. Technical passports, certificates of conformity, release documents and available traceability records may be provided for selected positions upon request.
