Aircraft engine starting units and starter panels are organised by complete designation and recorded control function. The category includes automatic start controllers, programmed start devices and panel equipment used within documented engine or auxiliary-power-unit starting systems. These units coordinate a sequence; they are not the starter motor or generator itself.

Automatic controllers for defined start sequences

APD-30Bt, APD-55, APD-58A, APD-75A, APD-78A, APD-88 and APD-9V are maintained as separate catalogue positions. Their suffixes and series can identify a different engine programme, timing logic, wiring or equipment configuration. The product card and applicable aircraft documentation should be checked together.

Match the controller to the engine and wiring

Identification may require the engine or APU type, start-system composition, supply voltage, connector arrangement, programmed sequence and panel interface. State whether the request concerns a controller, complete panel or related starting component. Do not infer compatibility from the APD family name alone.
