Description

APD-75A System Overview

The APD-75A is an electromechanical engine start automatic control unit designed for automated control of start processes of single-shaft gas turbine engines within aircraft and ground power installations. The unit functions as a programmed control device integrated into engine start system architecture.

APD-75A Control Function

The device controls the sequence of activation and deactivation of start system components, including starter-generator operation, ignition systems, and fuel supply, ensuring execution of the start cycle according to a predefined timing program and transition to normal engine operation.

APD-75A Aircraft and Ground Application

The unit is used in aviation and energy applications, including aircraft such as An-12, Il-18, and Il-38 equipped with AI-20 engines, as well as ground-based gas turbine power plants such as PAES-2500.

APD-75A System Integration

The control unit operates in conjunction with onboard or ground engine systems, using a cam-based programmed mechanism to generate control signals for ignition units, fuel valves, and starter systems. The product is also known under alternative designations APD-75A and АПД-75А.
