Description

PMK-21TV Series 2 System Overview

The PMK-21TV Series 2 is an aircraft electromechanical program mechanism designed for control of anti-icing systems within onboard equipment of helicopters and aircraft. The unit functions as a programmed switching device integrated into blade and airframe heating system architecture.

PMK-21TV Series 2 Control Function

The mechanism provides cyclic sequential switching of heating element groups in an impulse mode, ensuring controlled distribution of electrical power and preventing overload of the onboard electrical system during anti-icing operation.

PMK-21TV Series 2 Aircraft Application

The unit is used on helicopters and aircraft equipped with anti-icing systems, including Mi-8/Mi-17 helicopters and Il-76 aircraft, where it ensures protection of rotor blades and airframe elements against icing under adverse weather conditions.

PMK-21TV Series 2 System Integration

The mechanism operates in conjunction with onboard AC and DC power systems and anti-icing control units, using a programmed cam-based mechanism to distribute power between heating circuits. Series 2 represents an improved modification with enhanced reliability of switching elements. The product is also known under alternative designations PMK-21TV Series 2 and ПМК-21ТВ серия 2.
