Green Aircraft Side Navigation Light
Description
BANO-57 is a green aircraft side navigation light for the external signalling-light system. It marks one side of the aircraft and, together with the red side light and white tail light, allows an observer to determine the aircraft outline and direction at night, in reduced visibility and during taxiing. The product is a complete light fitting with a housing, optical filter, lamp holder and mounting parts.

Purpose and installation
The BANO-57 is documented in the external lighting equipment of An-24 and An-26 aircraft. These installations use a red light on the left wingtip and a green light on the right wingtip. The light is mounted directly to the airframe through a circular flange; its exact execution must be checked against the illustrated parts catalogue, wiring diagram and maintenance documentation for the relevant aircraft variant.
Construction and mounting
BANO-57 consists of a metal housing, a cap with a retaining ring and a green glass filter. It uses an SM28-70 aircraft lamp. Four mounting holes, each 4.8 mm in diameter, are evenly spaced on a 67 mm pitch circle. The assembly has a circular body with the lamp holder and electrical terminals arranged below the mounting ring.
Electrical and operating data
The nominal supply voltage is 28 V and the lamp power is 70 W. The lamp base is P20d/21. Climatic versions U2 and T2 are specified, with an ambient operating temperature from −60 to +60 °C. Overall dimensions are 86 mm in diameter and 125 mm in height. Product mass is no more than 0.41 kg; the published net mass is 0.352 kg.

Confirm the full designation BANO-57, green filter, SM28-70 lamp, P20d/21 base, four-hole mounting pattern and electrical connection.
