A-037 Version 4 airborne radio altimeter set
The A-037 Version 4 is a complete airborne radio altimeter system designed to measure true helicopter flight altitude above land, water or uneven terrain. The system provides continuous radio-height information to the crew and connected onboard equipment. It is used in flight profiles where actual clearance below the aircraft is important: approach, landing, descent, hover, low-altitude flight and operation over water or rough terrain. Unlike barometric altitude, the A-037 system shows the height relative to the surface directly below the aircraft.
Configuration of the A-037 Version 4 set
The Version 4 configuration includes the A-037-1G transceiver, A-034-4-17 height indicator, two A-037-2 antennas, GU4.137.080-01 mounting and harness set, and GU4.850.668-03 interconnecting cable. The A-037-1G transceiver generates, transmits, receives and processes the radio signal. The A-034-4-17 indicator provides analog pointer display and warning outputs in the cockpit. Measurement principle of A-037 Version 4
