A-037 Version 10 radio altimeter set
The A-037 Version 10 is a complete radio altimeter set designed to measure true helicopter flight altitude above land, water or rugged terrain. The system provides the crew with continuous radio-height indication and supports low-altitude warning functions during descent, approach, landing, hover and other operating modes where actual clearance below the aircraft is important. Unlike barometric altitude, the A-037 measures height relative to the surface directly below the aircraft.
Main units of the A-037 Version 10 set
The A-037 Version 10 set includes the A-037-1V transceiver, A-034-4-22 height indicator, two A-037-2 antennas, GU4.137.080-01 mounting/wiring kit and GU4.850.668-03 interconnecting cable. The A-037-1V transceiver generates, transmits, receives and processes the radio signal. The A-034-4-22 indicator gives the cockpit pointer display and warning output.
