GA-192/1 electromagnetic hydraulic valve for aircraft systems

The GA-192/1 is an aircraft electromagnetic hydraulic valve used for remote control of hydraulic units. It is a two-position spool valve with electromagnetic actuation, installed in hydraulic circuits where fluid flow has to be switched by an electrical command. The valve is not a pump and does not create pressure. It changes the route of the hydraulic fluid inside the circuit and allows the connected hydraulic unit to operate according to the selected system mode.

Remote hydraulic switching through GA-192/1

In operation, the GA-192/1 controls the flow of AMG-10 hydraulic fluid to a connected aggregate. When voltage is applied to the electromagnet, the spool changes position and switches the hydraulic passage. This gives the aircraft system a direct way to control hydraulic mechanisms without manual operation of the valve itself. The unit is used where the hydraulic circuit must respond quickly to an electrical command, including control and auxiliary circuits.

Inside the system, GA-192/1 works with pressure lines, drain lines, fittings, valves, actuators, control switches, and aircraft wiring. If the connected unit does not move or the hydraulic circuit behaves incorrectly, the valve is only one possible cause. Maintenance checks usually include voltage at the connector, current draw, spool movement, hydraulic pressure, drain back pressure, fluid cleanliness, and the condition of the connected hydraulic unit. A fault in any of these areas can look like a valve failure.

Aircraft application of GA-192/1

The GA-192/1 is used in aircraft hydraulic systems where electrically controlled routing of hydraulic fluid is required. Listed applications include Mi-8, An-12, and Tu-134 aircraft. The exact installation depends on the aircraft hydraulic layout and the function of the connected aggregate. Similar valves from the GA-192 family may differ by version, setting, or installation purpose, so the aircraft parts catalog should be checked before replacement. A visually similar unit is not always the correct valve for the circuit.
