In operation, GA-163T/16 directs AMG-10 hydraulic fluid to the selected actuator line. When voltage is applied to the corresponding electromagnet, the spool shifts and connects the required hydraulic passage. In the neutral position, the valve can block the flow according to the system layout. This makes the unit suitable for systems where the same hydraulic consumer needs two working directions, such as extension and retraction, or left and right movement in a steering mechanism.
