UVK-1F-PB Series 2 operating purpose
UVK-1F-PB Series 2 is a coded barometric altitude indicator. Displays barometric altitude in feet and provides coded altitude information to compatible aircraft systems. It operates inside an aircraft measuring or navigation channel and must be evaluated together with the sensors, computers, power supply and wiring of the exact installation.
Pressure-derived altitude data is presented on the dial and distributed through the documented digital and analog output interfaces. Serviceability of the pointer alone therefore does not validate the complete system. A functional check must also cover input signals, interconnecting lines, associated units and the specified test procedure.

UVK-1F-PB Series 2 in the associated system
Associated system: IKVSP / RVSM-compatible air-data and altitude-reporting installations. Nearest connected equipment: MVP-1 pressure module and compatible air-data, transponder or altitude-reporting equipment. These items form a functional chain but are not automatically included in the delivery set of one indicator.
Documented in RVSM modernization packages for Il-76T / Il-76TD aircraft; other installations require confirmation. Applicability to another aircraft modification must not be inferred from appearance and requires confirmation in the parts catalogue, wiring diagram or maintenance manual.
Indication, power and cockpit installation
Indication range or presentation: Approximately −1,640 to 41,000 ft for the documented UVK-1F-PB execution. Power and input channel: According to UVK-1F-PB and aircraft installation documentation.
Installation: Cockpit instrument panel with the applicable static-pressure and electrical connections. Before fitting, verify the complete designation, series, scale, connector or pressure ports, mounting, housing, glass and nameplate condition. The installed unit is then checked under the procedure for the applicable system and aircraft.
Identification of UVK-1F-PB Series 2
The original Soviet/Russian factory designation is Cyrillic: УВК-1Ф-ПБ серия 2. The English card uses the consistent Latin transliteration UVK-1F-PB Series 2. Similar-looking Cyrillic and Latin characters are not mixed inside the primary designation.
The F execution uses a feet scale; it must not be confused with the meter-scale UVK-1M-PB. A visually similar instrument, adjacent series or comparable scale does not prove interchangeability. Selection requires a nameplate photograph, exact index, aircraft type, associated system and documentation requirement.
