UGR-1K
radio compass indicator
Description
UGR-1K operating purpose
UGR-1K is a gyromagnetic radio compass indicator. Presents aircraft heading and radio-compass bearing information supplied by the connected navigation equipment. It operates inside an aircraft measuring or navigation channel and must be evaluated together with the sensors, computers, power supply and wiring of the exact installation.
Synchro-type signals from the gyromagnetic heading system and radio compass drive the indicator scales and pointers. Serviceability of the pointer alone therefore does not validate the complete system. A functional check must also cover input signals, interconnecting lines, associated units and the specified test procedure.

UGR-1K in the associated system
Associated system: GIK-1 gyromagnetic heading system and compatible automatic radio compass installation. Nearest connected equipment: G-3M gyro unit, KM magnetic transmitter, ID induction sensor, U-6M / U-8M amplifier and compatible radio compass. These items form a functional chain but are not automatically included in the delivery set of one indicator.
Mi-2 maintenance documentation records UGR-1K in checks of the Mi-2 GIK-1 system. Applicability to another aircraft modification must not be inferred from appearance and requires confirmation in the parts catalogue, wiring diagram or maintenance manual.
Indication, power and cockpit installation
Indication range or presentation: Full 0–360° heading presentation; pointer functions depend on the connected radio-navigation configuration. Power and input channel: From the GIK-1 and associated radio-navigation electrical circuits.
Installation: Cockpit instrument panel. Before fitting, verify the complete designation, series, scale, connector or pressure ports, mounting, housing, glass and nameplate condition. The installed unit is then checked under the procedure for the applicable system and aircraft.
Identification of UGR-1K
The original Soviet/Russian factory designation is Cyrillic: УГР-1К. The English card uses the consistent Latin transliteration UGR-1K. Similar-looking Cyrillic and Latin characters are not mixed inside the primary designation.
Series number, pointer arrangement and connected compass must be confirmed; no CAN interface is attributed to this electromechanical indicator. A visually similar instrument, adjacent series or comparable scale does not prove interchangeability. Selection requires a nameplate photograph, exact index, aircraft type, associated system and documentation requirement.
Ordering and related indicators
An inquiry for UGR-1K should state required condition, delivery set, passport and bench-test needs. Card defaults are Condition: New, Warranty: 6 Months and Stock Status: Pre-Order; actual lead time and documentation are confirmed in the quotation.
More instruments are available in the Aviamisto Altimeters and Indicators category. Related positions: AGD-1S, UAP6-1, UV-30-3, UVK-1F-PB Series 2. They belong to nearby functional channels or the same equipment group and are not confirmed replacements without direct technical documentation.
