UAP6-1 operating purpose
UAP6-1 is a angle-of-attack and load-factor indicator. Displays current and critical angle of attack together with normal load factor and applicable limiting cues. It operates inside an aircraft measuring or navigation channel and must be evaluated together with the sensors, computers, power supply and wiring of the exact installation.
The indicator receives processed signals from the angle-of-attack transmitter and the associated limit-computing equipment. Serviceability of the pointer alone therefore does not validate the complete system. A functional check must also cover input signals, interconnecting lines, associated units and the specified test procedure.

UAP6-1 in the associated system
Associated system: Angle-of-attack and overload warning system of the UAP-6 / SOS family. Nearest connected equipment: Angle-of-attack transmitter, load-factor sensor, limit computer and warning circuits; exact units depend on the installation. These items form a functional chain but are not automatically included in the delivery set of one indicator.
The UAP-6 family is documented in aircraft angle-of-attack and overload warning installations; exact UAP6-1 applicability requires configuration confirmation. Applicability to another aircraft modification must not be inferred from appearance and requires confirmation in the parts catalogue, wiring diagram or maintenance manual.
Indication, power and cockpit installation
Indication range or presentation: Scale and warning limits depend on the exact UAP6-1 execution and aircraft configuration. Power and input channel: According to the applicable UAP6-1 system documentation.

UAP6-1, UAP6-1A and UAP6-1N must not be treated as interchangeable solely because their faces look similar. A visually similar instrument, adjacent series or comparable scale does not prove interchangeability. Selection requires a nameplate photograph, exact index, aircraft type, associated system and documentation requirement.
