Glide slope antenna
Available on back-order
AG-003 is an aircraft glide slope receiving antenna used in instrument landing systems. The antenna receives vertical glide path signals from ground-based ILS beacons during precision approach and landing. It operates as part of the onboard antenna-feeder architecture and transmits received glide slope signals to aircraft navigation, indication, autopilot and integrated avionics systems. The antenna supports stable reception of vertical guidance information required for approach trajectory control in instrument flight conditions.
The AG-003 antenna receives glide slope signals in the ILS UHF glide path band. These signals are used by onboard landing equipment to determine whether the aircraft is above, below or on the required vertical approach path. The antenna provides the RF input needed by navigation receivers and related landing systems, while signal interpretation is performed by the onboard avionics. Stable antenna performance is important for reliable cockpit indication and automatic flight control functions during precision approach procedures.
The AG-003 antenna operates as part of the Liliya antenna-feeder system and is associated with the KursMP-70 landing system. Within this architecture, the antenna provides reception of glide slope information and transfers it through the coaxial RF connection to the aircraft landing equipment. Its condition affects signal quality in the glide path channel, so troubleshooting should include the antenna housing, RF connector, coaxial line, receiver input, system grounding and aircraft installation area. The antenna should be checked as part of the complete landing system, not as an isolated external fitting.
The AG-003 is installed in a sealed aerodynamic housing intended for permanent external mounting on the aircraft fuselage. The construction includes a protected receiving element and RF connector. The sealed housing protects the antenna from weather, airflow, vibration and environmental exposure while preserving stable radio-frequency reception. Since the unit works outside the aircraft structure, maintenance checks should include mechanical attachment, housing integrity, sealing, connector condition, corrosion signs and damage caused by handling or external impact.
The AG-003 glide slope antenna is used on helicopters and aircraft equipped with compatible landing systems and antenna-feeder installations. Applicable aircraft include Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171, An-24, An-30, An-32, Il-76, Il-76M, Il-62, Il-86, Il-96-300, Tu-154B, Tu-154M, Yak-42 and Be-200, depending on the aircraft configuration and documentation. Because landing equipment may differ by aircraft modification, overhaul history and modernization status, applicability should be confirmed through the aircraft equipment list, wiring documentation and landing system maintenance manual.
Before ordering AG-003, the aircraft type, installed landing system, required condition and documentation set should be confirmed. The antenna may also be referenced as AG-003-1, but the exact execution should be checked before supply. For correct identification, it is useful to specify the aircraft model, installation location, related landing system, connector configuration, documentation requirements and whether the request concerns one antenna or a wider antenna-feeder set. For acceptance, passport availability, test records and external condition should be clarified in advance.
