8A-9901-00/A fuel drain hose
The 8A-9901-00/A is a ground-servicing hose assembly used to drain fuel from a helicopter into a refueling vehicle or another approved receiving system. It is associated with Mi-8 / Mi-17 maintenance equipment and is not a permanently installed fuel-system hose. The slash suffix is retained because it identifies the recorded product version.
The maintenance procedure describes connecting one end of the hose to the aircraft fuel drain valve. When fuel is drained to a refueler, the opposite end is joined to the adapter hose or nozzle supplied for that vehicle and secured by the appropriate coupling. Connection to the aircraft fuel system
The exact drain point, valve sequence, bonding requirements and approved fuel grade come from the aircraft and refueler documentation. The hose itself does not authorize a drain operation. Maintenance personnel must ensure that the receiving vehicle is suitable, the system is depressurized as required and the work area complies with fire-safety and environmental procedures.
Because the assembly connects aircraft and ground equipment, both interfaces matter. Coupling geometry, sealing surfaces, protective caps and the refueler adapter should be checked before ordering. The related 8A-9901-00 product on the site is treated as a separate designation; interchangeability with 8A-9901-00/A has not been established.

Inspection and configuration checks
