MV-27-1G
Vibration Sensor
Description
MV-27-1G aircraft vibration sensor
MV-27-1G converts mechanical vibration of an aircraft unit or assembly into an electrical signal. Onboard monitoring equipment uses this signal for continuous vibration-condition surveillance and detection of abnormal behaviour in rotating equipment. The signal is evaluated by compatible approved monitoring equipment.
MV-27-1G is a primary transducer rather than a stand-alone indicating instrument. The practical meaning of its signal is established by the compatible amplifier, filters and alarm thresholds in the onboard vibration-monitoring equipment. The same mechanical input cannot be interpreted from sensor output alone without the conversion coefficient and electrical load specified for the individual channel.

MV-27-1G measuring principle
The existing technical record identifies this execution as a piezoelectric vibration transducer. Mechanical oscillation is converted into an electrical signal for the vibration-monitoring equipment. Exact sensitivity and frequency response must be taken from the passport for the individual unit.
A normal measuring path includes the case-mounted sensor, cable or connector, conditioning unit and an indicator or warning module. Shielding faults, a poor contact or damaged mounting can imitate excessive vibration. Troubleshooting therefore covers the complete path and compares the signal with the engine or assembly operating condition defined in the maintenance manual.
Documented aviation application
Open aviation documentation identifies MV-27-1G as a vibration sensor for aircraft equipment and the “engine 88” installation in the support context of the Mikoyan MiG-29. This is the documented application; a previous general reference to helicopters did not prove compatibility.
The mounting surface must be clean and conform to the installation drawing, while the sensitive direction must match the aircraft scheme. Looseness, contamination or unsuitable hardware changes mechanical coupling to the monitored assembly. For MV-27-1G, the connector or cable execution, local temperature limit and freedom from wiring strain also require confirmation.
Installation and system operation
The sensor operates with compatible vibration-monitoring equipment. Before installation, verify the designation, sensitive direction, mounting, connector or cable, housing condition and installation requirements. Numerical values retained in Technical Details are existing reference data and must be confirmed against the passport for the supplied execution.
Passport testing may include insulation or resistance checks, response to a controlled vibration input, sensitivity and frequency response. Reference values retained on this page do not replace acceptance limits for the individual unit. Data belonging to another MV-family sensor apply only when the approved technical documentation explicitly establishes that relationship.
Identification and ordering of MV-27-1G
An inquiry should include MV-27-1G and the original МВ-27-1Г marking, aircraft or assembly type, condition and documentation requirement. The related MV-27-2V is a different execution and is not an automatic replacement. More components are listed in the Aviamisto Sensors category.
An inquiry should identify the complete designation, monitored engine or assembly, compatible equipment, cable version, condition and passport requirement. A readable nameplate photograph helps prevent mixed Latin and Cyrillic characters. Cross-sells group products by vibration-monitoring purpose but do not confirm electrical or mechanical substitution.
This card identifies MV-27-1G as an individual aviation product and does not replace its passport, illustrated parts catalogue or maintenance manual. Before supply, the nameplate, condition, delivery scope, required documents and applicability to the individual aircraft or system should be agreed. When the marking, equipment record and inquiry contain different information, the approved documentation for the installed execution takes priority and any disputed parameter must be confirmed before ordering. Incoming-inspection results and traceability data should be retained with the supply documentation.
Related products are selected by common system or measured parameter. This grouping improves catalogue navigation but is not a list of approved replacements. Any substitution requires matching designation, electrical interface, mounting dimensions and range, together with explicit confirmation in the applicable maintenance documentation.
