MV-27-2V measuring principle

The sensor uses an inductive magnetoelectric principle: relative movement of an inertial magnet and a coil generates a voltage related to vibration velocity. The measuring range and permitted mounting attitude must be checked against the execution passport.

A normal measuring path includes the case-mounted sensor, cable or connector, conditioning unit and an indicator or warning module. Shielding faults, a poor contact or damaged mounting can imitate excessive vibration. Troubleshooting therefore covers the complete path and compares the signal with the engine or assembly operating condition defined in the maintenance manual.

Documented aviation application

MV-27-2V is used with onboard vibration-monitoring equipment for engines, gearboxes or other rotating assemblies. The aircraft type cannot be established from the designation alone and must be checked against the unit passport and aircraft equipment list. The mounting surface must be clean and conform to the installation drawing, while the sensitive direction must match the aircraft scheme. Looseness, contamination or unsuitable hardware changes mechanical coupling to the monitored assembly.
