The MV-27-2V is an aircraft vibration sensor designed for measurement of vibration parameters in aircraft systems. The unit operates as part of onboard vibration monitoring equipment, converting mechanical oscillations into electrical signals.
The sensor operates on an inductive magnetoelectric principle, where relative motion between an inertial magnet and a coil generates an electrical signal proportional to vibration velocity. It enables continuous monitoring of vibration levels in critical rotating components.
The unit is used in vibration monitoring systems of aircraft and helicopters for condition control of engines, auxiliary power units, gearboxes, and transmission assemblies, enabling early detection of imbalance and wear.
The sensor is installed via a flange connection and operates in a vertical orientation, forming part of onboard vibration monitoring systems such as IV-series equipment. The hermetically sealed housing ensures operation in harsh environments. The product is also known under alternative designations MV-27-2V and МВ-27-2В.
