SB1-B1-YARII is an electronic subunit used as a reference oscillator in the B1-YARII receiver-exciter of the Yadro-1 airborne HF radio station. The module generates stable reference-frequency oscillations used as the basis for frequency synthesis inside the radio station. It is part of the frequency generation path and supports formation of the working frequency grid used by the receiver and transmitter sections. The subunit is installed inside the parent receiver-exciter assembly and is not used as a standalone aircraft radio unit.
The main function of SB1-B1-YARII is generation of stable reference oscillations for the frequency synthesizer. These oscillations provide the base signal from which the radio station forms operating frequencies for reception and transmission. Correct operation of the reference oscillator is important for frequency stability, channel selection and normal operation of the Yadro-1 communication system. If the subunit is defective, the receiver-exciter may fail to tune correctly, maintain frequency accuracy or support stable operation of the HF radio station.
The SB1-B1-YARII subunit is installed in the B1-YARII receiver-exciter, which is one of the functional blocks of the Yadro-1 airborne shortwave radio station. The parent assembly has a modular internal structure and includes several subblocks responsible for frequency generation, selection, modulation, detection and receive-transmit operation. SB1-B1 functions as the reference oscillator section and forms the frequency base for the remaining radio-frequency circuits. This modular arrangement allows the subunit to be identified, tested and replaced within the receiver-exciter during maintenance.
SB1-B1-YARII is associated with the Yadro-1 HF radio communication system used on aircraft and helicopters equipped with compatible shortwave radio equipment. Application may include Mi-8 and Mi-17 family helicopters, as well as civil and military aircraft fitted with Yadro-1 radio systems, depending on configuration and documentation. Since airborne HF radio installations may differ by aircraft type, radio station version and modernization status, applicability should be confirmed through the equipment list, radio station documentation and receiver-exciter configuration before supply or installation.
Within the B1-YARII receiver-exciter, SB1-B1-YARII works alongside other functional subblocks. The referenced module set includes SB2-B1 for main selection / IF functions, SB3-B1 for modulation, SB4-B1 for signal detection and low-frequency amplification, and SB5-B1 as the main receive-transmit block. The SB1 reference oscillator provides the frequency foundation for this chain. During troubleshooting, technicians should check not only the SB1 module, but also power supply, synthesizer circuits, interblock connections and the operating condition of associated receiver-exciter modules.
The subunit may be referenced as SB1-B1-YARII, SB1B-B1-YARII, СБ1-Б1-ЯРII or СБ1Б-Б1-ЯРII. It may also be described as a frequency generator, reference oscillator, reference oscillator board, electronic module or subunit. Before ordering, the exact parent assembly, decimal number, required condition and documentation set should be confirmed. The unit may be required for radio station repair, receiver-exciter restoration, maintenance stock or replacement of a defective frequency generation module.
