Description

IZH2.000.099-05 transceiver in the Orlan-85ST system

IZH2.000.099-05 is an onboard VHF transceiver and the main functional unit of the Orlan-85ST aircraft radio station. The unit provides two-way simplex radiotelephone voice communication between aircraft crews and ground air traffic control services, as well as communication between aircraft in flight. It operates as the central receiving and transmitting block of the radio station and is installed as part of the complete Orlan-85ST aircraft communication system.

VHF communication through IZH2.000.099-05

The IZH2.000.099-05 transceiver operates in the civil aviation VHF communication band. It supports voice communication between the crew, ATC services and other aircraft during flight and ground operation. The unit provides reception and transmission of voice signals and supports operation with ICAO-compliant channel spacing, making it suitable for aircraft operating in international airspace, including European regions. The transceiver also supports monitoring of the emergency frequency 121.5 MHz, where applicable by system configuration.

Main radio functions of IZH2.000.099-05

The IZH2.000.099-05 combines receiving and transmitting circuits within one onboard unit. It performs RF signal selection, reception, amplification, modulation and transmitter output power generation. In the Orlan-85ST system, it works together with the remote control panel, power supply, mounting frame and related aircraft wiring. The cockpit control panel allows the crew to select channels and modes, while the transceiver itself remains installed in the aircraft radio equipment compartment.

Installation of IZH2.000.099-05 on aircraft

The IZH2.000.099-05 transceiver is installed inside the aircraft, normally in the avionics or radio equipment compartment. It is not installed directly in the cockpit; only the radio control panel is available to the crew. The transceiver is mounted in a shock-mount frame, which protects the unit from vibration and mechanical loads during aircraft operation. Installation and replacement should be checked against the aircraft wiring documentation, radio station configuration and Orlan-85ST technical documentation.

Aircraft application of Orlan-85ST transceiver IZH2.000.099-05

The IZH2.000.099-05 transceiver is used on civil passenger and transport aircraft, as well as on selected helicopters equipped with the Orlan-85ST VHF radio station. Typical application includes aircraft such as Tu-154M, Tu-204-100, Il-96-300, An-124, An-74, An-140, and helicopters such as Mi-8AMT and Mi-171, depending on aircraft configuration and documentation. Since aircraft radio installations may differ by modification and modernization status, applicability should be confirmed before supply.

Identification and ordering of IZH2.000.099-05

The unit may be referenced as IZH2.000.099-05, ИЖ2.000.099-05 or Ж2.000.099-05. It may also appear in supply lists as an aircraft VHF transceiver, Orlan-85ST transceiver or onboard VHF radio transceiver. For correct supply, it is useful to specify the aircraft type, installed Orlan-85ST configuration, required condition, documentation requirements and whether the request concerns only the transceiver or the complete radio station set.
