RI-65-30 is an onboard matching amplifier used in aircraft voice warning and annunciation systems. The unit is installed between voice message equipment, aircraft radio equipment and pilot headset circuits. Its task is to amplify and match the speech signal so that warning messages are clearly heard by the crew through aircraft telephones and communication channels. In the Almaz-UP passported set, RI-65-30 is supplied together with the Almaz-UP-48 voice message playback unit, RI-65-20 remote control panel and summary passport.
The RI-65-30 amplifier matches audio signals from connected voice units and radio equipment with pilot headset circuits. Aircraft audio systems may use different telephone types, including high-impedance and low-impedance headsets.
