Description

ITE-2T is an aircraft tachometer indicator designed for remote measurement and indication of aircraft engine shaft rotational speed during flight and ground operation. The rotational speed is displayed as a percentage of the maximum value and is used for continuous monitoring of engine operating modes.

The ITE-2T tachometer indicator is installed as part of the aircraft engine instrumentation system and operates in conjunction with engine speed sensors mounted on engine drive units. In a typical tachometer system configuration, two D-2M speed sensors are used together with a dual-pointer indicator, allowing simultaneous indication of two shafts or two engines.

The operating principle of the instrument is based on the interaction between the magnetic field of a permanent magnet and the magnetic field of eddy currents generated in the sensitive element of the indicator. This principle ensures stable and reliable indication of rotational speed under various operating conditions.

ITE-2T is intended for use on various aircraft types, including helicopters, and is applied in both flight and ground operating conditions. The instrument is widely used in tachometric systems of legacy and current aircraft, including heavy transport helicopters such as the Mi-26.

Alternate Designations:
ITE-2T may also be referenced in technical documentation and system descriptions as ITE-2. In some cases, the designation ITE-2 is used to describe the complete tachometer system. All listed designations refer to the same tachometer indicator type.
