Altitude correction sensor
The DVK is an aircraft altitude correction sensor used in engine operating mode indication systems. It measures static air pressure and provides a correction signal for the receiving instrument. The sensor does not control the engine directly. Its function is to support correct indication of engine operating parameters when flight altitude changes. In aircraft maintenance and supply documents, the unit is normally treated as an auxiliary sensing element within the IR-117 or IR-117M system.
The sensor converts static air pressure into resistance values. These values are transmitted to the receiving instrument, where they are used for altitude correction of engine mode indication. As the aircraft climbs or descends, static pressure changes, and the sensor output changes accordingly. This allows the indication system to account for altitude-related variation in engine operating conditions. The unit should be connected to the correct static pressure line and electrical circuit according to aircraft documentation.
The DVK operates as part of the IR-117 / IR-117M engine operating mode indication system. In this system, it works together with pressure and temperature sensors, as well as the receiving instrument and wiring harnesses. The altitude correction sensor provides only one part of the total input data used by the system. If indication values are incorrect, the check should include not only the DVK, but also the connected pressure sensor, temperature sensor, wiring, receiving instrument and static pressure source.
The unit is used on aircraft and helicopters equipped with IR-117 or IR-117M engine operating mode systems. Exact applicability depends on the installed engine indication configuration and aircraft modification. Because similar aircraft may use different indicator sets, the sensor should not be selected by name alone. The system designation, aircraft type, installed receiving instrument and documentation reference should be checked before confirming the unit for replacement or supply.
Before ordering DVK, the marking should be compared with the aircraft parts catalog, system documentation or product passport. It is also useful to confirm the installed IR-117 / IR-117M configuration and the connection scheme for the static pressure and electrical circuits. For correct selection, provide the aircraft type, engine type, system designation, existing sensor marking and a photo of the data plate if available. The product is also known under alternative designations DVK and ДВК.
