fuel transmitter for SKES-2027B
Available on back-order
DTPR Tank D is a lever-float fuel transmitter used in the SKES-2027B electric fuel quantity measuring system. This version is installed in the additional fuel tank of Mi-8 / Mi-17 / Mi-171 family helicopters when that tank is included in the aircraft fuel configuration. The unit sends a fuel level signal from the tank to the cockpit indication circuit. In English RFQs and technical descriptions, this item is better written as a fuel transmitter, because it transmits tank level data to the indicator.
The transmitter works through a float and lever mechanism. When the kerosene level in the additional tank changes, the float moves and changes the electrical signal in the measuring circuit. The signal is then displayed on the cockpit fuel quantity indicator after the crew selects the required tank through the selector. The unit does not control fuel feed and does not measure fuel consumption. It only reports the level of fuel in the additional tank as part of the SKES-2027B system.
The Tank D version is also linked with the refuelling signal for the additional tank. When the fuel reaches the specified filling level, the transmitter circuit can activate the refuelling indication used during ground servicing. For Tank D, the refuelling signal point is 897 l. This value belongs to the additional tank position, so the Tank D transmitter should not be replaced by Tank R, Tank Pl or Tank Ppr without checking the aircraft fuel system documentation and the SKES-2027B set passport.
The transmitter works in the same fuel measuring chain as the BE-09K cockpit indicator, the P8U tank selector and the other DTPR transmitters in the set. Tank D corresponds to the additional tank. Tank R is used for the service tank, Tank Pl for the left external tank and Tank Ppr for the right external tank. If the displayed fuel quantity is incorrect, the fault may be in the transmitter, wiring, selector, indicator, grounding or adjustment circuit.
Before ordering, the tank position must be confirmed. Tank D means additional tank. A transmitter from another tank position may look similar, but the lever geometry, electrical setting and signalling point may be different. For correct selection, provide the helicopter type, installed fuel quantity system, tank position, transmitter marking and, if possible, a photo of the unit or passport entry. The product is also known under alternative designations DTPR Tank D, SKES-2027B Tank D fuel transmitter and ДТПР Бак Д.
