Power supply function of TS310S04B
The transformer receives three-phase AC power from the aircraft electrical system and steps it down to 36 V for connected instrument consumers. It does not generate power and does not perform electronic regulation. Its function is voltage transformation inside the aircraft AC power supply chain. If instruments lose 36 V power, the cause may be the transformer itself, the generator channel, wiring, protection devices, automatic transfer circuit or the connected load.
TS310S04B in aircraft instrument circuits
TS310S04B is used for powering aircraft monitoring and navigation equipment, including circuits related to engine indication, hydraulic system indication and other onboard instruments. On Mi-8 / Mi-17 family helicopters, this transformer is associated with the three-phase 36 V, 400 Hz instrument power system. It is also referenced for aircraft such as Yak-38 and Yak-42.
