Description

FG11BN hydraulic filter for aircraft systems

The FG11BN is a hydraulic filter used in aircraft and specialized equipment hydraulic systems. It is installed in the hydraulic line where the working fluid has to be cleaned before it reaches pumps, valves, actuators, fittings, and other units. The filter is not a pressure regulator and does not control the circuit. Its job is more direct: it removes mechanical particles from the fluid and helps keep the hydraulic line in working condition.

Filtration of AMG-10 fluid through FG11BN

The filter is intended for systems operating with AMG-10 hydraulic fluid. In operation, the fluid passes through a regenerable filter element that traps mechanical contamination within the specified filtration range. This is not just a formal service point. Small particles in hydraulic fluid can damage sealing surfaces, get into narrow passages, and affect valve or actuator response. A clean filter has limited resistance, but resistance increases as the element collects contamination.

Hydraulic circuit protection with filter FG11BN

In a complete hydraulic system, FG11BN works together with pipelines, pumps, pressure lines, shut-off valves, actuators, and service fittings. It does not protect the whole system by itself, but it reduces the amount of contamination moving further through the circuit. If pressure or flow becomes unstable, the filter should be checked together with the fluid condition, pump output, valve operation, and general cleanliness of the system. A clogged filter element can create symptoms that look like a fault in another unit.

Aircraft and equipment use of FG11BN

FG11BN is used in aviation and specialized hydraulic systems operating under nominal high-pressure conditions. Open technical references list the filter as a hydraulic unit for AMG-10 fluid with a regenerable filter element. Exact application should still be checked by the aircraft or equipment documentation. A similar-looking hydraulic filter may differ by thread, flow rate, filter element, temperature range, or installation size. For supply work, the installed marking is usually more reliable than a general system description.

Identification and ordering checks for FG11BN

Before ordering, the marking on the installed filter should be compared with the aircraft parts catalog, maintenance manual, or equipment documentation. The product may appear as FG11BN, FG-11BN, or in Russian documents as ФГ11БН. For maintenance requests, it is useful to confirm whether the requirement is for the complete filter assembly or for the filter element 340.044A. The product is also known under alternative designations ФГ11БН and FG-11BN.
