The BU-32 Series 2 is an aircraft electronic control unit used in the SPUU-52 movable control stops system. It is not a mechanical stop and not an actuator. The block processes electrical signals and forms commands for the mechanism that moves the stop in the aircraft control system. In the SPUU-52 set, this unit works with pressure and temperature sensing equipment, feedback circuits, wiring, cockpit controls, and the actuator mechanism. Its job is to make the movement limit change automatically according to flight conditions, rather than leaving the stop in one fixed position.
During operation, BU-32 Series 2 receives input signals related to ambient pressure and temperature. These signals are converted into control action for the movable stop actuator. The system uses this information to limit control travel when operating conditions require it. The unit does not “protect” the controls by itself in a mechanical sense. It commands the SPUU-52 mechanism, and the final result depends on the whole chain: sensors, control unit, actuator, feedback element, and aircraft wiring. If the system response is incorrect, all of these parts have to be checked before replacing the block.
In the SPUU-52 installation, BU-32 Series 2 is part of the automatic regulation circuit. Technical descriptions of the SPUU-52 system mention related units such as the pressure measuring complex, temperature receiver, feedback sensor, and MP-100M actuator. The control unit processes the received signals and issues a command that changes the position of the movable stop. This is why maintenance checks are usually not limited to the control unit alone. A fault may come from an open circuit, incorrect sensor signal, actuator travel problem, contact issue, or feedback mismatch.
The BU-32 Series 2 is used where the SPUU-52 movable stops system is installed. Public technical references connect this equipment with Mi-series helicopter control systems, and market listings also show BU-32 Series 2 under the code 6C2.399.032. Exact applicability should still be checked by the aircraft parts catalog and SPUU-52 documentation. Similar aircraft may have different SPUU versions or control unit variants. For this reason, the series number and passport designation matter. A general request for BU-32 may not be enough if the aircraft documentation calls for Series 2.
Before ordering, the marking on the installed block should be compared with the passport, parts catalog, or SPUU-52 maintenance documentation. For this version, the technical documentation reference is Passport 6C2.399.032 PS. It is useful to provide the aircraft type, SPUU-52 version, exact marking from the data plate, and a photo if available. This helps separate BU-32 Series 2 from other BU-32 variants used in similar systems. The product is also known under alternative designation БУ-32 серия 2.
