    • Description

Generators and starter-generators are aircraft electrical power units used to supply onboard systems and support engine starting on helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. In aviation maintenance, these units are usually selected by part number, aircraft type, voltage output, current rating, mounting configuration, rotation direction and compatibility with the engine or aircraft electrical system.

A starter-generator combines two functions in one unit: it works as an electric starter during engine start and then operates as a generator after the engine has reached self-sustaining speed. Standard aircraft generators may supply DC or AC power depending on the system configuration, including common aviation outputs such as 27 V DC and 115/200 V AC. These units feed avionics, navigation equipment, lighting, control systems, battery charging circuits and other onboard electrical consumers.

This category includes aircraft generators, starter-generators, DC generators, AC generators, engine-driven generators, auxiliary power generation units and related electrical components for helicopters and aircraft. They may be used on Soviet, Russian and CIS-manufactured platforms such as Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171, Mi-24, Mi-26, Ka-32, An-series aircraft, IL-series aircraft and other legacy aviation equipment.

Generators and starter-generators are commonly required during scheduled maintenance, engine start system repair, electrical system troubleshooting, generator overhaul, replacement of worn bearings or brushes, modernization programs and restoration of airworthiness. In service, these units work under vibration, thermal load, mechanical rotation, repeated start cycles and continuous electrical demand, so condition, output stability and compatibility with regulators and control units are important during replacement.

Depending on the specific position and customer requirement, aircraft generators and starter-generators may be supplied in factory new, serviceable, storage-preserved or overhauled condition. For selected items, technical passports, certificates of conformity, release documents, origin records or available traceability information may be provided upon request.

Aviamisto supplies aircraft generators, starter-generators and related aviation electrical components for MRO organizations, repair facilities, fleet operators and aviation parts suppliers. Some standard positions may be available from UAE or EU stock locations, while less common power generation units are sourced upon request by aircraft type, part number, voltage output, installation configuration and technical documentation.
