Description
The SG-18-1S is a DC starter-generator with mixed excitation and forced air cooling, designed for electric starting of diesel engines, onboard power supply, and battery charging.
Within the power supply system, the unit operates in two modes, functioning as a starter during engine start and as a generator after engine start to supply electrical consumers and maintain battery charge.
The starter-generator is applied in engine-driven onboard electrical systems of aircraft and ground equipment equipped with DC power networks.
The product is also known under alternative designations СГ-18-1С, SG18-1S, which refer to the same product type.
