Function and construction of VVF-112M

The rotating impeller creates forced airflow through or around the cooled equipment. The fan is designed for equipment thermal control rather than general room ventilation. Actual performance after installation depends on inlet and outlet resistance, guards, enclosure geometry and the correct direction of airflow.

Electrical and airflow parameters

Nominal airflow at zero static pressure is 2.3 m³/min and the minimum airflow is 2.07 m³/min. Nominal static pressure at zero airflow is 4.6 kgf/m², with a stated minimum of 4 kgf/m². Nominal speed is 2,720 rpm and power consumption is not more than 20 W.

Free-air airflow, total pressure and static pressure describe different operating points. They must be interpreted together and checked against the equipment passport rather than compared by one number alone.

Operating conditions and inspection

VVF-112M is rated for continuous S1 duty according to GOST 183-74 and climatic version UHL category 4.2 according to GOST 15150-69. It remains operational with supply-voltage deviation from +10% to −15%, at ambient temperature up to +55 °C and under vibration from 1 to 55 Hz with amplitude not more than 0.1 mm.

Incoming inspection should cover the marking, housing, impeller, connector or leads, mounting points and free rotation. During operation, unusual noise, vibration, overheating, current deviation or reduced airflow requires investigation according to approved maintenance documentation.
