The main function of MZK-2 Series 2 is to turn the output shaft through a limited angular range and hold the connected valve or actuator in the required position. The mechanism receives power from a 27 V DC system and drives the internal motor and gearbox. The output torque is transferred to the valve spindle, lever or shut-off device. This allows remote control of fuel, hydraulic or air system valves from the cockpit, control panel or automation circuit, depending on the equipment where the mechanism is installed.

MZK-2 Series 2 is used in systems where reliable remote shut-off is required. It may also be used in hydraulic and pneumatic circuits where a valve or flap must be moved by electrical command. Construction of the MZK-2 Series 2 mechanism

The mechanism consists of a DC motor, multi-stage cylindrical gearbox, output shaft, friction torque-limiting clutch and a block of limit switches. The D-12TF-2s motor, or a similar DC motor depending on execution, provides rotary input to the gearbox. The gearbox reduces speed and increases torque at the output shaft. The friction clutch protects the mechanism and the driven valve from excessive load. Built-in limit switches disconnect motor power when the shaft reaches the end positions, preventing continuous drive after travel completion.

Operating range and mechanical limits

MZK-2 Series 2 is designed for repeated short-time operation. The output shaft travel is limited to a fixed angle, with source data indicating 95° ± 3°. The mechanism produces output torque sufficient for operation of aircraft shut-off valves and related equipment. The source context gives a nominal torque of 250 kgf·cm and a maximum stall torque reference up to 450 kgf·cm. During maintenance, technicians should check shaft travel, limit switch operation, clutch condition, connector contacts, current consumption and mechanical backlash in the drive.

Before ordering MZK-2 Series 2, the buyer should confirm the required series, output shaft configuration, connector type, operating voltage, angle of rotation, torque requirement and documentation set. It is also important to specify whether the unit is required separately or together with a shut-off valve, fuel valve, hydraulic valve or air valve. The mechanism may be required for aircraft maintenance, fuel system repair, special vehicle overhaul, stand equipment or stock replenishment. Passport, year of manufacture, storage condition and test records should be agreed before shipment.
