Description

MVR-2V Series 2 rotary electromechanism

MVR-2V Series 2 is an aircraft electromechanism of rotary action, also described as a motor-screw reduction unit. The mechanism is based on an integrated D-38 or D-38T DC commutator motor and is used for remote automatic or manual control of aircraft movable elements. It can actuate dampers, valves, shutters and other regulating parts in aircraft systems. The unit converts electrical power into mechanical movement through its motor and reduction gear, providing controlled displacement of the connected mechanism.

MVR-2V Series 2 actuator function

The main function of the MVR-2V Series 2 electromechanism is to move and hold controlled elements in the required position. The actuator can be connected to air-system dampers, oil cooler tunnel shutters, engine cowling shutters, ventilation controls or other aircraft mechanisms depending on the aircraft type and installation documentation. Due to the motor-screw reduction system, the unit produces the required output force and keeps the end position after movement. It may be used in both automatic control circuits and manual remote-control circuits.

Integrated D-38 / D-38T DC motor

The MVR-2V Series 2 mechanism uses an integrated D-38 or D-38T direct-current commutator motor. This motor drives the reduction gear and screw mechanism, which then moves the output rod or controlled linkage. The motor is designed for aircraft DC power supply and short-time repeated operating modes typical for actuator applications. The commutator-brush assembly is a service-sensitive part of the motor, and maintenance may include inspection or replacement of carbon brushes of the specified size.

Feedback and end-position control

The mechanism may include a built-in feedback potentiometer that transmits position information to cockpit indicators or control circuits. Depending on production year and configuration, the potentiometer resistance may differ, so the exact version should be checked by documentation. The unit may also include internal limit switches that disconnect the motor circuit when the actuator reaches the end positions. These elements protect the mechanism from overtravel and allow the aircraft system to monitor or control damper position more accurately.

Aircraft systems using MVR-2V Series 2

MVR-2V Series 2 is associated with civil and military transport aircraft, especially Antonov aircraft such as An-24, An-26, An-30 and An-32, depending on modification and system documentation. The mechanism may be installed in anti-icing systems to control hot-air dampers, in environmental control and ventilation systems to regulate cabin air, or in engine cooling systems to control oil cooler tunnel shutters and engine thermal-regulation elements. It may be mounted in engine nacelle areas, wing fairings and unpressurized compartments.

Identification and ordering of MVR-2V Series 2

Before ordering MVR-2V Series 2, the aircraft type, installation place, required modification, stroke length, connector configuration and documentation requirements should be confirmed. It is also important to clarify whether the buyer needs a complete electromechanism, the D-38 / D-38T motor, brushes, limit switches, feedback potentiometer, seals or repair parts. The unit may be required for scheduled maintenance, aircraft system repair, actuator replacement, overhaul stock or restoration of aircraft damper-control systems.
