Purpose and application
GS-31B is a metal-ceramic generator triode for continuous-wave generation and RF power amplification in metre and decimetre wavelength ranges. It operates in grounded-grid circuits.

Construction and cooling
The tube has cylindrical electrode terminals and a forced-air-cooled anode assembly. Nominal heater voltage is 12.6 V and heater current is 3.4 A; readiness time is no more than 120 seconds.
Operating data
Published reference modes specify at least 360 W at a 60 cm wavelength and at least 180 W at 30 cm. Transconductance is at least 22 mA/V, and the operating wavelength range is 28–100 cm.
Selection and installation
Forced airflow of approximately 3 m³/h is required. The maximum continuous anode voltage is 3 kV and anode dissipation is 1 kW. Before installation, verify the cooling path and exact terminal arrangement.
