Purpose and application
GS-15B is a metal-ceramic generator tetrode for continuous-wave radio-frequency power amplification and generation. It is intended for grounded-grid circuits and is selected by the complete designation and the operating frequency of the equipment.

Construction and cooling
The compact coaxial metal-ceramic construction uses ring contacts and requires forced-air cooling. Heater voltage is 6.0–6.6 V and heater current is 2.28 A with the stated tolerance.
Operating data
Rated anode voltage is 900 V, rated second-grid voltage is 250 V and maximum anode voltage is 1.37 kV. Output power in the documented mode is at least 160 W; maximum anode dissipation is 200 W.
Selection and pre-installation checks
The minimum operating wavelength is 30 cm and minimum service life is 1000 hours. Before installation, the ring contacts, ceramic insulation, cooling-air path and circuit operating point should be checked.
