Purpose and application
GMI-32B is a pulse modulator tetrode for high-current switching in pulse modulators. It is used where a short high-voltage pulse must be applied to the generator stage with repeatable current and timing.

Construction
The tube has a glass envelope, a visible electrode assembly, a finned metal lower section and separate insulated electrode leads. Heater voltage is 24.2–29.7 V and current is 10 ± 0.7 A. The lead arrangement must match the equipment wiring.
Operating data
Pulse anode current is at least 40 A at a heater voltage of 24.3 V and at least 50 A at 27 V. Input capacitance is 160 pF, output capacitance 20 pF and transfer capacitance no more than 1 pF. Readiness time is no more than three minutes.
Cooling and selection
Forced-air cooling is required: approximately 110 m³/h for the anode section and 30 m³/h for the stem. The specified ambient range is −60 to +85 °C, mass is no more than 4 kg and minimum service life is 1000 hours.
