Hydraulic function of the GM-35 motor

The main function of the GM-35 is to transform hydraulic fluid pressure and flow into controlled shaft rotation. Pressurized fluid enters the motor, acts on the internal rotary piston group and creates torque on the output shaft. The motor can operate over a wide speed range, from very low rotation speed up to high-speed operation, depending on flow rate and load. This allows the GM-35 to be used in mechanisms that need steady rotation, controlled movement or compact hydraulic power transmission.

Torque and speed operation of GM-35

The GM-35 has a nominal displacement of 16 cm³ and a nominal flow rate of 24 L/min. At nominal conditions, the shaft speed is 1500 rpm, with a maximum shaft speed of 3850 rpm and a minimum speed of 3 rpm according to the supplied data. These parameters make the motor suitable for hydraulic mechanisms where both low-speed control and higher rotational speed may be required. Actual output depends on system pressure, flow rate, load resistance and hydraulic circuit condition.

Pressure parameters of the GM-35 motor

The GM-35 is designed for hydraulic systems with nominal inlet pressure of 16 MPa and maximum inlet pressure of 32 MPa. The nominal pressure drop is 15 MPa, while the maximum outlet pressure is 1.5 MPa. Drain pressure must not exceed 0.1 MPa. These values are important for system design and installation. Excessive outlet or drain pressure can increase internal load, reduce efficiency and damage seals. For reliable work, the hydraulic circuit must provide correct return and drain conditions.

The GM-35 consists of a housing with mounting flanges, output shaft, rotary piston group, distribution plate, valve mechanism, seals, bearings and hydraulic ports. The steel body provides strength for high-pressure operation, while the internal distribution and piston group convert fluid energy into shaft torque. During inspection, special attention should be paid to shaft condition, bearing play, port cleanliness, seal condition, drain flow and signs of internal wear.

GM-35 in rotary mechanisms and mounted equipment

The GM-35 can be used for driving rotary reducers, buckets, mounted equipment, gear mechanisms and other rotating units in hydraulic systems. Its compact design and 5.3 kW nominal output make it suitable for machinery where hydraulic power is already available and electric or mechanical transmission is less convenient. In such applications, the motor must be matched to the load, reduction ratio, operating speed, pressure limits and hydraulic fluid specification.

System integration of the GM-35 hydraulic motor

The GM-35 is installed in hydraulic transmission systems through standard mounting interfaces and hydraulic line connections. It requires correct connection of pressure, return and drain lines. Filtration, fluid cleanliness and proper pressure relief protection are essential. Before installation, the system designer or technician should verify direction of rotation, shaft interface, flange dimensions, allowable pressures, flow rate and return-line conditions. Incorrect connection may lead to seal failure, overheating or unstable motor operation.

The motor is of USSR origin according to the supplied data and may be available from storage, industrial stock or repair stock depending on availability. Before use, the motor should be checked for shaft rotation, pressure tightness, drain condition, port cleanliness, housing condition, output torque behavior and compatibility with the target hydraulic system.
