Power supply role in the SEP-U system
The PTS-500S is identified in the SEP-U electrical power system together with the PPS-1000S converter. Existing documentation describes the PPS-1000S as the associated unit that provides the 48 V DC supply and ±12 V circuits for the PTS-500S installation. The PTS-500S then produces the required three-phase alternating supply for the relevant part of the onboard network.
This association does not mean that the two units are an inseparable delivery set. Before ordering a replacement, confirm the aircraft wiring diagram, required converter index, connector configuration and the role of the PPS-1000S in the particular installation. This is especially important on aircraft that have been repaired, modernised or modified during service.
