BTT-60PM current transformer block
BTT-60PM is an aviation current-transformer block used with the GT60PCh6A three-phase AC generator. It supplies measurement signals to the regulation, protection and parallel-operation circuits of a 60 kVA generator channel. The block is therefore selected as part of a defined electrical system, not as a generic standalone transformer.
The suffix PM is part of the designation and must be preserved. BTT units with a similar current rating, housing or connector arrangement must not be treated as automatic substitutes.

BTT-60PM protection and regulation functions
The documented BTT-60PM construction includes four toroidal current transformers, three U-shaped transformers assembled in unit U1 and three diodes in unit U2. Three toroidal transformers participate in reactive-load distribution. The fourth supports active-load distribution and protection against current unbalance during parallel generator operation.
The three U-shaped transformers work with matching transformers installed at the generator. This differential arrangement detects current differences associated with a fault in the generator or feeder. In the documented channel, the BZU-376SP protection unit receives the resulting signal and commands emergency generator disconnection.
BTT-60PM channel parameters
The associated GT60PCh6A generator channel is rated at 60 kVA, 208/120 V, 400 Hz and approximately 166.7 A phase current. These values describe the generator channel in which the BTT-60PM operates; they are not independent output ratings of the transformer block. Exact transformation ratios, winding data and acceptance limits must be taken from the product passport.
Correct phase sequence, conductor routing and installation orientation are essential for differential protection and load sharing. Functional testing requires the approved test procedure and calibrated equipment.
