B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 power amplifier in the Yadro HF radio system

B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 is an onboard HF power amplifier unit used in aircraft shortwave radio communication systems of the Yadro family. The unit amplifies the radio-frequency output signal generated by the transmitter section of the radio station and helps achieve the required output power for long-range HF communication. It is used as a functional block in Yadro-1A1, Yadro-1G1 and related Yadro-family radio systems.

RF signal amplification through B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1

The B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 receives the RF drive signal from the transceiver-exciter and increases it to the power level required for transmission through the aircraft antenna system. The amplified signal is then routed through the antenna tuning unit to the onboard HF antenna. This configuration supports long-range simplex radiotelephone communication between aircraft, as well as communication with ground-based HF radio stations.

B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 with Yadro system blocks

The B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 power amplifier operates together with the B1-YAR2-1A / B1-YarII-1A transceiver-exciter, B5A-YaR1 antenna tuning unit, control panel and auxiliary Yadro system blocks. The transceiver-exciter forms the required radio signal and operating mode, the amplifier increases transmitter output power, and the antenna tuning unit matches the antenna-feeder path to the transmitter output. Stable operation depends on correct tuning, feeder condition, antenna matching, power supply and related system blocks.

Aircraft application of B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1

The B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 unit is used on helicopters and aircraft equipped with compatible Yadro-family HF radio stations. It is installed as part of the onboard HF communication system and supports long-range communication routes where shortwave radio operation is required. Installation of B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 in the radio compartment

The B4-IAR1 / B4-YaR1 amplifier is installed in the aircraft radio equipment compartment, within the HF transmitter path of the radio station. This location allows the power amplifier and related high-frequency equipment to remain outside the cockpit while the crew controls the radio station remotely. During inspection or replacement, the amplifier should be checked together with its connectors, mounting, RF connections, power supply lines, antenna tuning unit and associated Yadro system blocks.

Returns & Changes (Restocking Fee)
