Swash plate assembly
8-1950-000 swash plate assembly is designed to change the collective pitch of the main rotor blades and cyclically vary their angles depending on the azimuth position. It converts pilot control inputs into corresponding changes in blade pitch, allowing the helicopter to climb, hover and maneuver through cyclic and collective pitch variation.
The assembly operates as part of the primary flight control system on Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171 and related variants, transmitting motion from the pilot controls and hydraulic boosters to the rotating rotor head. Through coordinated interaction of its stationary and rotating components, the swash plate changes blade incidence on every rotation of the main rotor.
The unit consists of a rotating plate and stationary plate connected by bearings, pitch link guides, and a linear slider. The mechanism is designed for continuous rotation at 192 rpm, withstands vibration and dynamic loading, and is lubricated with CIATIM-201 grease.
Alternate designations: 8-1950-000, 8-1950-000 PS, 81950000 — all refer to the same swash plate assembly.
