The ECN-40 is an aircraft electric centrifugal booster fuel pump used in the fuel systems of Mi-8 family helicopters, including Mi-8T, Mi-8MTV and related modifications. Its main function is to deliver fuel from the service tank to the engine fuel control pumps, such as the NR-40VG, and maintain stable fuel supply at the required flow rate. In the helicopter fuel system, the ECN-40 is not a tank transfer pump. It works closer to the engine feed circuit and supports continuous fuel delivery to the engine fuel metering equipment.
