Fuel Shut-Off Valve
Available on back-order
The 768600MA is an electromagnetic shut-off valve used in aircraft fuel lines. It is installed directly in the pipeline and closes the fuel flow when an electrical signal is applied. In normal operation it simply sits in the line and reacts to commands from the aircraft electrical system.
On Mi-8MT, Mi-17, Mi-171 and Ka-32 helicopters, this valve is usually placed between the fuel tanks, boost pumps and the engine feed line. It works in the same circuit with fuel pumps, filters and check valves. In practice, it separates sections of the system so fuel can be shut off when needed.
On aircraft such as An-24, An-26, Tu-134, Tu-154, Il-86, Yak-40 and Yak-42, it is used in centralized fuel systems. The valve is installed in main fuel pipelines and is used during engine start, shutdown or when a line has to be isolated. This is a standard layout for these aircraft types.
The valve is powered by DC and controlled through switches or relay circuits. When activated, the internal mechanism moves and blocks the passage. There is no complex control inside the unit. It just opens or closes the line when commanded.
In operation, it works together with pumps, fuel control units and pipeline fittings. It is one element in the fuel system rather than a standalone device. The product is also known under alternative designations 768600MA.
