For procurement and repair, the decisive identity is the nameplate БЦУ-5 together with drawing or design-document number 6Ж3.620.012. The public sources reviewed do not reliably define the expanded unit name, aircraft type or subsystem. Those fields are therefore not filled from BCU-8 or BTsU-T8-54 merely because the abbreviations look related.

Relationship to the BCU family

The catalogue contains the related BCU-8 target-designation unit and BTsU-T8-54. They provide useful search context, but neither is an automatic replacement for BCU-5. A shared БЦУ prefix may identify a functional family; compatibility still requires the equipment list, wiring diagram, connectors and the exact design document.
