Role in the aircraft system

Training and maintenance documentation identifies UG-149 in wheel-braking systems together with the brake accumulator, charging valve, pressure indicators and related reducing or anti-skid units. These connected components perform different functions and are not substitutes for UG-149. Connected units form one operating circuit, but each performs a separate task and must not be presented as interchangeable merely because it is installed in the same system.

Installation and maintenance checks

UG-149 is documented for the braking system of An-24 / An-26 family aircraft. Maintenance data also records configuration-dependent use alongside or in place of UG-92/2, but the permitted replacement rule must be read exactly for the installed aircraft configuration.
