The AGK-47B is an aircraft gyroscopic combined attitude indicator designed to determine the spatial position of an aircraft or helicopter relative to the true horizon. The unit integrates attitude, turn, and slip indication functions within a single instrument and operates as part of the flight-navigation system.
The instrument combines three functions: attitude indication (pitch and roll), turn rate indication, and slip/skid indication. It uses a reverse indication principle (“ground-to-aircraft”), where the horizon reference moves relative to a fixed aircraft symbol.
The AGK-47B provides roll indication within ±95° and pitch indication within ±85°. It also indicates turn rate up to 4 degrees per second. The unit operates under typical aircraft vibration and environmental conditions and maintains stable gyroscopic reference during flight.
The instrument is used on fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters as part of flight-navigation and instrument systems. It is installed on legacy aircraft platforms and is compatible with early AGK-47 series configurations. Production of early versions has been discontinued, and the unit is currently available for maintenance and continued operation of existing aircraft fleets.
