Description
Purpose of 6N13S
The 6N13S is a dual power triode designed primarily as a regulating valve in electronic voltage stabilisers. Its low internal resistance and two separate triode systems also allow use in push-pull low-frequency amplifier stages when the circuit is designed for this tube.

Construction and execution
Both triodes have indirectly heated oxide cathodes and share one large glass envelope with an octal keyed base. At the nominal operating point each section uses a 90 V anode supply and approximately 80 mA anode current. Each anode may dissipate up to 13 W.
Selection and installation
Because the heater draws several amperes, the power transformer and socket wiring must be checked carefully. Selection should be based on the complete 6N13S marking, octal pinout, cooling conditions and the operating point specified by the equipment manufacturer.
