Construction and cooling

The design uses vertical mounting, water-cooled anode and forced-air cooling of the bulb and base. These features affect equipment layout and installation requirements: the specified connections and heat removal must be provided for the exact tube execution.

Role in RF equipment

Generator tubes are used where high-frequency power must be generated or amplified. Similar dimensions, a related designation or a comparable cooling method do not establish identical electrical characteristics or interchangeability.

Selection and installation

Before ordering or installing, compare the GU-10A designation, terminal layout, mounting panel, electrode voltages, heater mode and cooling arrangement with the equipment passport. For high-power tubes, the air or water path and electrical-safety provisions are essential parts of the installation.

Water and air cooling are both functional parts of the GU-10A installation, not optional accessories. Confirm tightness of the water circuit, uninterrupted airflow and the required mounting orientation before energising the RF stage.
