Purpose and application
GS-36B is a metal-ceramic generator tetrode for RF generation and power amplification in metre and decimetre wavelength ranges at frequencies up to 500 MHz.

Construction and cooling
The tube is designed for forced-air cooling. Its compact metal-ceramic construction has distinct electrode contacts; the exact contact arrangement and mounting dimensions must be compared with the equipment documentation.
Operating data
Heater voltage is 6–6.6 V and heater current is 2.95–3.35 A. Input capacitance is 18–30 pF, output capacitance 5–9 pF and transfer capacitance no more than 0.08 pF.
Selection and installation
Maximum continuous anode voltage is 2.1 kV, instantaneous anode voltage 4 kV and anode dissipation 400 W. Cooling must remain active throughout operation.
