Purpose and application
GS-30 is a titanium-ceramic generator triode for generating and amplifying centimetre-range oscillations in grounded-grid circuits. It is used in specialised RF equipment and is selected by the exact designation and operating frequency.

Construction and cooling
The compact tube has cylindrical electrode terminals and weighs approximately 30 g. Nominal heater voltage is 6.3 V, heater current is 1 ± 0.2 A, and readiness time is no more than 60 seconds.
Operating data
At a 30 cm wavelength, continuous-wave oscillation power is at least 20 W. The published operating frequency range is 400–1500 MHz; transconductance is at least 20 mA/V.
Selection and installation
The maximum anode voltage is 550 V, anode dissipation 40 W and grid dissipation 0.8 W. Before installation, compare the cylindrical contacts, ceramic condition and circuit mode with the equipment documentation.
