Purpose and application
GK-12A is a high-power generator triode with magnetic focusing for generating and amplifying RF power in stationary radio-frequency equipment. It is used primarily in industrial electrothermal installations.

Construction
The ceramic-metal tube has an external copper anode and a directly heated thoriated, carburised tungsten cathode. The anode is water-cooled, while the envelope requires forced-air cooling. The heater is rated at 5.7–6.3 V and 260 ± 25 A.
Operating data
Reference operating limits include a maximum frequency of 30 MHz, anode voltage up to 11 kV, anode dissipation up to 25 kW and grid dissipation up to 500 W. At 1 MHz the specified RF output is at least 60 kW.
Cooling and selection
GK-12A is a large component weighing up to 15 kg and requires its specified water circuit, airflow and magnetic system. Before installation, compare the flange, cooling connections, electrode terminals and specification SB3.314.154 TU.
