GI-41 is a metal-ceramic pulse generator triode for generating and amplifying high-frequency oscillations in common-grid circuits. It is designed for short pulses with a low duty cycle and operates at frequencies up to 3000 MHz.

Construction and cooling
The indirectly heated oxide cathode uses a 6.0–6.6 V heater supply; nominal heater current is 1.3 ± 0.1 A. The tube may operate in any physical position. Natural air cooling is used, while the equipment design must maintain the permitted temperature at the metal-ceramic seals.
Key operating data
Reference pulse data include an anode voltage up to 3 kV, pulse anode current up to 2.9 A, pulse duration up to 1.5 µs and a minimum duty factor of 200. Useful pulse output is at least 1.5 kW; anode dissipation is limited to 40 W.
Selection and pre-installation checks
For replacement, compare the full GI-41 designation rather than using GI-41-1 as an automatic substitute: the two versions differ in heater current, pulse output, capacitances and rated service life. Inspect the ceramic, contact surfaces and seals before installation.
