The GI-21B is a metal-ceramic generator triode used to generate and amplify high-frequency oscillations in the UHF range. It supports both continuous operation and pulse operation with anode modulation, making it suitable for compact RF generator and amplifier stages.

Construction and cooling
Its stepped cylindrical body combines metal electrode sections with ceramic insulators and an integrated air-cooled lower structure. The heater is rated at 12.6 V and 0.88 ± 0.05 A. Forced-air cooling of approximately 8.4 m³/h is specified for the operating tube.
Key operating data
The tube is compact, with reference dimensions of about 88 × 45 mm and a mass close to 98 g. The maximum stated anode voltage is 0.8 kV, while the pulse anode current reaches 4.5 A. The anode dissipation rating is 110 W.
Selection and pre-installation checks
For selection, compare the complete GI-21B marking, terminal surfaces, mounting arrangement and cooling path. Inspect the ceramic rings and metal joints for chips, cracks or deformation before installation; a similar metal-ceramic outline does not establish compatibility.
